Families Waiting to Adopt
Expectant parents looking at adoption as an option for their child are free to choose from the many approved families waiting to adopt through LSS or adoptive parents located through other resources.

Parents that choose to adopt through LSS recognize the benefits of open adoption. They also understand that open adoptions are not all the same and depend on the individual wishes of the birth and adoptive parents; on-going contact may include letters, photographs, phone calls, and/or get-togethers.
LSS serves all expectant mothers and fathers – together and individually – and supports the decision of birthparents to choose the individual or couple who will parent their child. LSS serves people of all ages, incomes, races, religions or sexual orientation.

- Once you select an adoptive family, your Pregnancy Services worker will help you draw up an agreement that defines your wishes. This agreement may be made legal.
